Unusual options activity
ⓘ About this board & the data
The tracked-universe companies getting the most unusual options volume on the latest session — one row per company, ranked by company Vol/OI (the day's total contract volume against open interest across the whole chain, so a single near-zero-open-interest weekly can't top the board), alongside price and 1-day change, total volume, relative volume, implied volatility, the day's standout contract, how the day's option premium split between calls and puts, the swarm signal engine's short-horizon directional lean, and how many recent sessions the activity has persisted — with each anomaly attributed to a known driver where one exists. Per-contract detail lives on each company's Options tab.
Delayed, end-of-day, aggregate-per-contract options data — not a live tape or trade-level flow. 'Unexplained' means no scheduled catalyst, recent news, or macro event in our data — not confirmation of informed trading. The Call/put premium column is a MEASUREMENT, not a directional call: it is the share of the day's option premium that traded in calls versus puts, across the near-dated chain we capture — the 6 nearest expiries within 45 days, so LEAPS and far-dated monthlies are in no figure here. Within that window it spans every traded contract, not just the ones listed on the company's Options tab, so summing those rows will not reproduce it. It cannot tell whether those options were bought or sold, and a put-heavy split may be a hedge rather than a bearish bet. Buy/sell side is separately INFERRED — from where each contract's single last print sat between the delayed bid and ask, not from observed order flow; real side classification needs trade-level data we do not have. 'Building' means we don't yet have enough trailing sessions to compute that metric honestly — the value is withheld, not zero.
The Side column is an inference from the delayed bid/ask quote — not observed order flow. How the inferred side works
Call/put premium is a measurement, not a directional call — the share of the day's option premium traded in calls vs puts across the chain we capture (the 6 nearest expiries within 45 days), not the company's full option chain and not the ≤20 contracts on its Options tab. What this number is and is not
Signal is the swarm signal engine's short-horizon lean — the same Bullish/Bearish read as /signals, and a SEPARATE thing from Call/put premium and Side (inferred) above: those two are not directional verdicts, this one is. Short is the noisiest, most-often-neutral horizon, so a muted “—” is common and honest; a signal older than the day's flags is shown muted with its own “as of” date, never as a current call.
