护城河: 最新变动 2026-06-26 Lenovo is the world's largest PC vendor by IDC's count and a fast-growing but third-ranked branded server maker. In fiscal 2025/26 (the year to March 31, 2026) it reported record revenue of US$83.1 billion, up 20 percent. The Intelligent Devices Group (PCs, tablets and Motorola smartphones) contributed US$58.9 billion at a 7.2 percent operating margin. The Infrastructure Solutions Group added US$19.2 billion with a full-year operating profit of US$73 million, and the Solutions and Services Group US$10 billion with operating profit of US$2.2 billion. The PC franchise is the core of the moat. IDC's 3Q26 data puts Lenovo first with 23.8% of shipments, and the annual report says the Group achieved its 'largest market share lead in 15 years' in the fourth fiscal quarter, with premium PCs at 50 percent of shipments. In infrastructure Lenovo is a challenger. IDC's 2Q26 server tracker ranks it third at 5.1%, behind Dell and Supermicro, with ODM Direct holding 53.9%. Its Q1 FY26/27 release reports ISG revenue up 98% to a record US$8.5 billion at a record 9.1% operating margin. The whole group still runs on a 15.4% gross margin, so the advantage shows up as cost efficiency rather than price.
评级: 窄
An independent tracker confirms the scale lead, and the annual report shows it earns a thin but steady return. IDC's preliminary 3Q26 PC data (2026-10-08, https://www.idc.com/resource-center/press-releases/idc-pc-tracker-3q26/) ranks Lenovo first with 14.9 million shipments and a 23.8% share, ahead of HP Inc (16.5%) and Dell Technologies (12.1%), in a quarter when total shipments fell 20.1%. The 2025/26 annual report shows what that scale earns. The Intelligent Devices Group held a 'stable operating margin of 7.2 percent' on US$58.9 billion of revenue, and the Solutions and Services Group made US$2.2 billion of operating profit on US$10 billion of revenue. Against that, group gross profit margin 'eroded by 0.7 percentage points to 15.4 percent mainly due to the change in product mix and the lower profitability in ISG business'. The report's own risk section says the Group 'faces strong competition in product offerings, pricing, and innovation from both established players and new market entrants'. Narrow rather than none, because an independently measured volume lead has carried a stable devices margin and a profitable services arm. Narrow rather than wide, because the gross margin is thin, and IDC shows Lenovo's PC share slipping to 23.8% from 24.6% a year earlier.
类型: 成本规模
The annual report places the advantage in operating scale, not proprietary rights. It describes 'a global supply chain that includes more than 30 manufacturing sites across 10 markets', names operational excellence as one of 'two key pillars' behind the year's results, and says the Group navigated tariffs and 'industry-wide supply shortages' by leveraging 'our global footprint and resilient operations'. The Q1 FY26/27 release (2026-08-13, https://investor.lenovo.com/en/financial/results/press_2627_q1.pdf) reports that Lenovo ranked fifth globally in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 for 2026. It credits 'Lenovo's scale, Global/Local supply chain, strong supplier relationships, and end-to-end operating model' with managing supply constraints and cost pressures. Neither document presents patents or other intellectual property as the source of its position.
领先地位: 并列领先者
Judged at whole-company level, Lenovo leads one of its markets, not all of them. In PCs, its largest business, IDC's preliminary 3Q26 tracker ranks it first with a 23.8% share against HP Inc's 16.5% and Dell Technologies' 12.1%, down from 24.6% in 3Q25; IDC says Lenovo, HP Inc and Dell Technologies 'all fell faster than the market'. Lenovo's own Q1 FY26/27 release reports a 24.2% share and a lead over the #2 player of 'more than five percentage points'. In servers, IDC's 2Q26 tracker (https://www.idc.com/resource-center/press-releases/2q2026-wwserver-tracker/) places it third at 5.1%, behind Dell Technologies (13.4%) and Supermicro (6.1%). Per the Q1 FY26/27 release, that Infrastructure Solutions Group business brought in US$8.5 billion of the Group's US$26,943 million revenue in the June 2026 quarter. In smartphones, Omdia ranks Motorola third in Latin America in 2Q 2026. A clear PC lead alongside a distant third place in servers makes Lenovo one of the leading system makers rather than the clear leader of its markets taken together.
定价权: 弱
Group gross profit margin was 15.4% in fiscal 2025/26 against 16.1% a year earlier. The annual report attributes the decline mainly to product mix and lower ISG profitability, and its risk section lists strong competition 'in product offerings, pricing, and innovation'. Gross margin rose to 16.5% from 14.7% in the June 2026 quarter, per the Q1 FY26/27 release. But IDC's 3Q26 release says that in the same half-year 'Vendors and channels loaded up on inventory early in the year to get ahead of price hikes'. The rise therefore came with industry-wide price increases and does not by itself show a Lenovo-specific premium.

Downstream system maker and integrator. It builds PCs, smartphones and servers across more than 30 manufacturing sites, buying from a concentrated supplier base: the largest supplier was 10% and the five largest 39% of fiscal 2025/26 purchases. It sells to a diffuse customer base, with less than 27% of sales to its five largest customers. Its NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 platform 'achieved full shipment support' in the fourth fiscal quarter.
