Mistral launched a public preview of Mistral Large 4, a 1 trillion-parameter natively multimodal model with 52 billion active parameters, and said it will release the weights by the end of the month. FCC grants SpaceX authority to deploy and operate 15,000-satellite D2D constellation

In order DA 26-1078, adopted and released October 6, 2026, the FCC's Space Bureau and Wireless Telecommunications Bureau granted in part and deferred in part SpaceX's application to launch and operate its 15,000-satellite "SpaceX D2D Constellation" in orbital shells from 326 km to 335 km. The order also granted, with conditions, SpaceX's request to waive the rule requiring a lease arrangement with a terrestrial wireless licensee to provide supplemental coverage from space in the AWS-3 and AWS-H bands.
