ASML will raise prices on all replacement parts for the EUV and DUV lithography tools it supplies in Korea by 10% across the board, starting with January supplies next year; Samsung and SK hynix accepted the increase after talks with their purchasing organizations, The Elec reported citing industry sources. The report says ASML is also discussing price increases on new equipment with major customers.

Super Micro contractor pleads guilty in scheme to divert AI servers with Nvidia chips to China

Ting-Wei 'Willy' Sun, a contractor linked to Super Micro Computer, pleaded guilty to four counts, including conspiracies to violate US export controls, in a scheme to illegally export servers containing advanced Nvidia AI chips to China, a federal court filing showed. Prosecutors had charged him and two others, including a Super Micro co-founder, with conspiring to divert about $2.5 billion worth of US AI technology to China; Super Micro said it was not named as a defendant in the indictment.

Amazon confirmed to Reuters that Daniel Rausch, vice president of Alexa and Echo, will step away from the unit next month and be replaced by Aidan Marcuss, currently vice president of Fire TV, advertising and the Amazon appstore. Netflix plans to cut 5% of its workforce, sources say

Netflix plans a substantial round of layoffs expected to affect 5% of its workforce, which could be 800 employees, including the creative team working on features, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing people familiar with the cuts. The cuts are believed to be the company's biggest since 2022; Netflix declined to comment.
